Our practice is built upon our principles. Every decision will be rooted in our values. We will continue to evolve and reflect on the foundation in which we were built. We believe that growth and adversity are not mutually exclusive, so when we encounter challenges we will lean upon our values for guidance.
Our vision is for all people, regardless of ethnic, social, cultural, or economic background, to have access to high-quality mental health care.
Our mission is to enrich the psychological health of children, adolescents, adults, and families through services that are seamless, accessible, and inviting.
We are tenacious in everything we do.
We act with authenticity and integrity.
We are open, curious, and respectful to all cultures and perspectives.
We are growth-oriented and seek wisdom and optimal health in every phase of life.
We understand the importance of playfulness.
We are collaborative in our approach of all whom we encounter.
We strive for excellence yet understand it is a dynamic, insatiable process that often comes secondary to disintegration.
We embrace imperfection and use mistakes as opportunities to learn, teach, grow, and connect with others.
We are grounded in psychoanalytic theory and tailor treatment to the needs of the child, adolescent, adult, or family. We are active, reflective, collaborative, and often encourage increased frequency with appointments. Creativity in our method, involvement of stakeholders (e.g., parents, siblings, schools, child care settings, etc.), and offering a wide variety of comprehensive services makes our treatment unique. We hope to offer guidance and insight, lead by example, and evaluate the etiology of struggling and healing from a holistic approach.
While many of our clinicians utilize alternative forms of psychotherapy to augment treatment, our approach is grounded in psychoanalytic theory. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is an empirically-based, non-manualized form of treatment. It is specifically tailored to the unique needs and experiences of each patient. Through a deeper understanding of oneself, particularly in the context of someone else, one is invigorated with a sense of personal fulfillment, confidence, psychological freedom, creativity, and interpersonal satisfaction. We view psychotherapy as a developmental process aimed at understanding the effects of early experiences on current relationships, perceptions of self, success, and overall well-being. Cultural experiences, relevant developmental phases, the therapeutic relationship, and mutually agreed upon goals are of utmost importance and will guide treatment.
