Antoine Saldubehere, Psy.D.
Dr. Antoine Saldubehere is a Psychological Assistant at Sentiero. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Alliant International University, San Diego. He attended San Diego State University for his undergraduate education, where he studied marketing. He obtained a teaching credential in special education at California State University Bakersfield. Before pursuing his doctoral degree, he spent time living in Japan working as an English teacher. He also taught adult education and high school special education for a number of years in central California. He has worked in various community mental health facilities and school in California and has a passion for working with children, adolescents, adults, and families striving for wellness.
Dr. Saldubehere completed an APA Accredited Predoctoral Internship at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he provided outpatient clinical services to adults, children, and adolescents in a community mental health agency. His postdoctoral training experience was completed at Clarity Child Guidance Center in San Antonio, Texas, a non-profit mental health treatment center specializing in children ages 3-17. He has worked psychotherapeutically with children, adolescents, and adults who have presented with various degrees of psychopathology, adverse childhood experiences, and psychological complexity. Additionally, he has considerable experience providing comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments for diagnostic clarification of learning disorders, neurodevelopmental disabilities, attentional difficulties, anxiety, mood disorders, and psychosis.
Dr. Saldubehere’s clinical interests include psychological and personality assessment, child/adolescent psychotherapy, play therapy for children zero to five, anxiety, depression, as well as family and relationship concerns. He values a developmental perspective and utilizes a number of family systems and psychodynamic interventions in his practice.
When Dr. Saldubehere is not in the therapy room, he enjoys getting into a new television series, cooking, playing tennis, indulging in some video games, and spending time with his lively cats.
